Remo Repair PST can easily repair corrupt, damaged, inaccessible PST files. There are inherent tools with Outlook which can do this. For example, scanPST.exe is a disaster mitigation tool from Microsoft to solve such issue.

But sometimes, the Outlook PST file does not come to normal state even using that program. In such cases you can use Remo Repair Outlook Software.

I would like to thank the developers for providing a pro license key to test the software. They also provided a corrupt PST file of approximately 200MB size to test the software.

The Pro version costs around $149.97.

It works on Microsoft Windows 10, Windows 8.1, Windows 8.0, Windows 7, Vista, XP, Windows Server 2003, Windows Server 2008 and Windows Server 2012.

RAM:
1 GB RAM (Recommended, 2 GB RAM)

You have to install the software as Local System Administrator.

Note: If you are using Windows 10, make sure the “Controlled Folder access” option under “Ransomware Protection” is turned off. Otherise, the software shortcut will not be created on the desktop screen.

How to use Remo Repair Outlook PST Software

I used the second option of opening the corrupt PST file to see, if the above features work as intended.

I’m using Outlook 2013 to test its features.

There are two types of scanning methods.
1. Normal Scan
This is suitable for PST files with minor corruptions and Outlook doesn’t open due to PST errors.
2. Smart Scan
This is an advanced PST repair mode. It is useful if you have severe corruptions of your PST file. It can be used when the Normal scan fails.

With the test file, I was able to find 307 lost Emails. After the process is complete, it will show the total items recovered.

The destination folder can also be set. In the resulting folder, the recovered PST file is saved under “<filename> Recovered”. Double-click it.

There will be two files. One is the recovered PST file and other is the log information.

It will contain whether the validation is successful or not. You can also see the source file, destination file and list of items recovered.

Note: Remo Repair Outlook cannot work if Outlook is running.

You can also find all the PST files present in your partition or system. This is to easily identify any other corrupt PST files. It will take a few minutes for the scan to complete.

Initially the corrupt PST file was 210MB. But the repaired file was only 2MB.

Conclusion

As mentioned Remo Repair Outlook was working properly without any errors. The process was also simple. You just have to load the PST file and scan it to repair.

The advantage of this software is that it can even work with big-size, compressed, encrypted and inaccessible PST files. You will get back all the items in your PST file like contacts, calendars, notes, emails etc.

When you load the recovered PST file, you see a folder called “Lost & Found”. The items that are got back are found here. The preview feature will also help in selectively receiving the items of your PST file.
